Bermuda works best in the South and Poa Annua is used almost always on the West Coast. The bentgrass version is best for the northeast, the midwest and the north west. Rye does not like the freezing temperatures and is best for golf courses in the South. The same goes for the Zoysia grass option.

If you are not buying artificial grass for your golf course, then a roll can cost you roughly $1150 for a 40 foot by 1 foot roll. This size may work for small areas and if you go larger, then the cost may be charged per square foot. You would have to shop around to get the best price for a roll of artificial grass.

If you are looking to cover an approx. 500 square foot area then you are looking at paying roughly $3,000 to $7,000. If you are looking to use rolls only, you can expt that cost to double.

The bent grass style that comes with short blades is a top seller but there are other options available as well. A texturized style is good and the slit-film is a style that copies natural grass putting surfaces.
